MdL board member Doug Haddix discussed the nonprofit’s work in Honduras during an appearance on “All Sides with Amy Juravich” on WOSU / NPR Radio.

Topics included MdL’s evolving mission and details from a recent immersion trip by Haddix and 10 other travelers organized by Worthington Presbyterian Church.

He also discussed the disruption and turmoil in Honduras caused by the Trump Administration’s abrupt cuts to most humanitarian aid managed by USAID (United States Agency for International Development). Life-saving HIV medicine has been provided across Honduras for many years through USAID. Like other organizations around the world, Montaña de Luz is scrambling to find other sources of medicine now that USAID operations have been shut down.

Haddix is in his sixth year on the MdL board of directors. He served as board president the past four years.
